Terms and conditions of use
1. Prices
- The prices of our products are indicated in euros, inclusive VAT, exclusive Shipping costs.
- For all the articles dispatched outside of the European Union, or for European Union customers which are holder of a valid European VAT number, we only can deduct the Belgian VAT if the order is prepaid by credit card, not by bank transfer. The price will be calculated net of tax automatically on the invoice. only in case of payment by credit card. The customs duties or taxes which are possibly exigible with the delivery are supported by yourself and concern your responsibility. We are not held to check and to inform you of the applicable customs duties and taxes. For you to inform some, we advise you to inform you near the proper authorities of your country.
- Satas.com reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. Although we update our database on regular bases, unfortunately, publishers reserve their right to increase prices without prior notice. We will automatically notify our customer by e-mail should the price of the ordered items increase by more than 15 % (for items more expensive than 25 Euro) You are not obliged to accept any price increase : you can cancel your order by a written e-mail within 7 days, otherwise we feel free to dispatch your order at the new conditions. However, if the price of the item decreased, we automatically charge you for the lowest price, of course.
- We do not backorder the items which are not available at the time of your order.
- The items remain the property of Satas.com until the complete payment.
- Items sold on Satas.com are reserved to the private customers.
2. Delivery charges
We apply delivery charges to all parcels sent to EUROPE by a traceable way, as UPS Standard or registered prior post parcel (expected delivery time: 2 à 3 business days) Occasionally, single books may be sent by ordinary non prior post parcel (expected delivery time: 10 - 12 business days) UPS and registered prior post parcels allows us to follow each sending until destination. Note that our delivery cost are based on the total weight of the order and according to the country of delivery. For non-European Market countries and non-continental Europe orders, we are able to ship you books, CD's or other items. Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped.
3. Payment
The payment of your order is carried out:
- by credit card: Visa, Mastercard-Eurocard, American Express and Diners via Ogone. Only the available items will eventually be charged to your credit card
- SATAS will only make one invoice for each order. One order = one payment = one invoice.
4. Privacy policy / Clause of confidentiality
Information and data concerning you are necessary to the management of your order. The processing and the collection of these data are carried out in accordance with the Belgian law of December 8, 1992. Following this law, you have a right of access, of correction to your personal data by sending an email to info@satas.com Our site is conceived to be particularly attentive with your needs. For that we must make use of cookies. The purpose of they are to announce your passage, to safeguard your choice of language, to consult the site, and to keep in memory the contents of your basket. We do not disclose customer data to third parties.
5. Promotions
Certain items are available at special reduced prices, which are valid until the date indicated or rupture of our stock. Our promotions are valid for private customers only (not for retailers or/and bulk orders) who finalize their order through the Satas.com. They are also valid on our special book displays (see topic "agenda" for dates and places) and of course, in our "non-virtual" bookshop.
6. Prepublication subscription
Some titles are available to purchase at special prices. You can order a book at a special subscription price, to be shipped upon publication. Please advise us the dates you planned not to be at home around the estimated publication date, to avoid to send the book in vain. You can do this in the field « SUGGESTIONS » at the end of the finalization of your order. Please note also that prepublication prices suppose prepayment before the given limit of validity of the offer, to be assured to benefit of the saving prices on new selected books!
7. Validation. Right of renunciation
You state to have taken knowledge and agreed the present General Conditions of Sale before to have placed your order. The finalization of your order is worth thus acceptance of these General Conditions of Sale. Right of renunciation: You can give up your purchase and return us (after prior agreement, please contact us by email or telephone) the goods within 7 working days from the following day of the day of the delivery. The shipping costs are for your account (we will not accept the insufficiently stamped returns), and at your own risks. Satas.com has the right to refund you only one part of your purchase if this one returns to us in a state which does not allow us to resell it at the full price. Excluded for this right of renunciation are: CDs, videos, DVDs and software from which the plastic wrapping and sealing has been opened.

We are located at 1072 Chaussée de Ninove, B1080 Brussels, Belgium and are open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. We are closed on Sunday and on Monday. The bookshop can also be visited on Tuesday, but on prior appointment only.
