This book is the second volume of a completely rewritten Path of Pregnancy by Bob Flaws. In it, Dr. Flaws covers 34 different traditional Chinese diseases and pathoconditions occurring in postpartum women. Under each heading, Dr. Flaws gives the definition, disease causes and mechanisms, pattern discrimination, therapeutic principles, and numerous guiding formulas from a wide variety of premodern and contemporary Chinese sources. Although the main emphasis of this book is on treating with internal Chinese "herbal" medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion protocols are given under those disease categories where they are both appropriate and commonly used.
