Chinese Herbal Therapy

This book is presented as a bridge between Traditional Chinese Medicine and its counterpart in Japan, Kanpo. Kanpo was originally derived from TCM during the Sui and Tang dynasties, and elaborated in the Ming dynasty. The major books of TCM were used to form the basis of herbal medicine inJapan. Kanpo, as a distinct field of Japanese medical practice, developed during the 300-year isolationist period of the Tokugawa era.
