Osteopathic diagnosis provides practical guidance for patient assessment and evaluation that is based on an introduction to the theory and philosophy of osteopathic practice.
The book is divided into two sections. The opening chapters deal with the general approach of the osteopath to the patient, firstly considering the theoretical basis for both evaluation and treatment. This section concludes with an overview of the analysis of case histories and examination.
The second section deals with more specific clinical aspects of osteopathic diagnosis. The practical implications of various problems associated with spinal cunature are considered and this is followed by a detailed exploration of the assessment of each body region with the clinical presentation of the more common problems seen in osteopathic practice.
